Delegates Urged to Reflect Christ Through Everyday Life
The Greater Accra Region of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) held its 2026 Delegates Conference with a renewed emphasis on authentic Christian living and the believer’s call to reflect the character of Christ in every sphere of life.
Held on September 10, 2026, at Royal House Chapel, the conference brought together approximately 150 delegates from various zones and sub-zones across the region. The gathering provided an opportunity for fellowship, spiritual renewal, and reflection on the practical outworking of the Christian faith in contemporary society.
Reflecting Christ
The conference was attended by the General Secretary of the GPCC, Pastor Ebenezer Gyamera, PhD, together with Regional Executives and other church leaders.
Speaking on the theme, “Reflecting Christ” (Matthew 5:16), Pastor Dr. Gyamera challenged delegates to move beyond a nominal profession of faith and embrace a lifestyle that consistently mirrors the values, character, and teachings of Jesus Christ.
“Reflecting Christ goes beyond what we say; it is about how we live,” he emphasized, adding that the life of a believer should serve as a visible expression of Christ’s character to those around them.
Drawing from Matthew 5:16, he reminded participants that believers are called to let their light shine through lives marked by integrity, humility, love, and good works, bringing glory to God and pointing others toward Him.
The message encouraged delegates to view their lives as a testimony of faith, recognizing that their actions and attitudes often serve as a powerful witness to those around them.
Call for Simplicity in Christian Living
A key focus of the conference was the call to embrace simplicity and authenticity in Christian living. Pastor Gyamera encouraged believers to guard against unnecessary complexities that can sometimes distract from the core message and mission of the Gospel.
Referencing Ecclesiastes 7:29, he observed that while God created humanity with purpose and clarity, people often introduce complications that can obscure the simplicity of a genuine walk with God. He urged delegates to remain grounded in the timeless truths of Scripture, marked by sincerity, faithfulness, and wholehearted devotion to Christ.
According to him, the Church’s effectiveness is not measured by outward appearances or elaborate structures, but by its faithfulness in representing Christ and communicating His message with clarity and conviction.
The conference reaffirmed the GPCC’s commitment to nurturing believers who live out their faith in practical and meaningful ways. Delegates were encouraged to carry the message of “Reflecting Christ” into their homes, churches, workplaces, and communities, allowing their lives to serve as tangible expressions of God’s love and grace.
