The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) is set to host its annual GPCC Week 2026 celebration from Monday October 5 to Sunday, October 11, with a renewed emphasis on Christian unity, spiritual reflection, and Christ-centred living.

As churches across the country prepare for the annual celebration, the General Secretary of the Council, Pastor Ebenezer Gyamera, PhD, has encouraged member churches and believers to actively participate in the week-long celebration. The event serves as an opportunity for Pentecostal and Charismatic Christians to come together in fellowship, prayer, and shared commitment to the mission of Christ.

This year's theme, “Reflecting Christ” (Matthew 5:16), invites believers to demonstrate the character, love, and light of Christ through their daily lives and interactions. Rooted in the biblical call to let one's light shine before others, the theme challenges Christians to be visible expressions of faith and integrity in their homes, workplaces, communities, and spheres of influence.

Collective Responsibility

According to Pastor Gyamera, GPCC Week is more than an annual gathering; it is a reminder of the responsibility Christians bear to model Christ-like values in a world seeking hope, purpose, and direction.

He noted that believers are called not only to profess their faith but also to reflect Christ through lives marked by service, humility, integrity, and compassion.

Throughout the week, churches are expected to participate in a variety of activities including prayer gatherings, fellowship services, community outreach, and other engagements designed to strengthen relationships among believers and foster greater unity within the Body of Christ.

Pastor Gyamera encouraged member churches to embrace the occasion as a time to celebrate their shared faith and strengthen the bonds that unite the Pentecostal and Charismatic community.

“As one Pentecostal and Charismatic family, this is a moment to celebrate our shared faith, strengthen our bonds, and demonstrate the light of Christ to the world,” he added.

Over the years, GPCC Week has remained an important event in Ghana's Christian calendar, providing a platform for spiritual renewal, fellowship, and collective action. The celebration reflects the Council's continuing commitment to nurturing Christian maturity, promoting unity among member churches, and encouraging faith-based contributions to national development.
