GPCC Holds 2026 Conference of Heads of Churches and Organisations, Calls Leaders to Reflect Christ
The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) has successfully organised the 2026 Conference of Heads of Churches and Organisations, bringing together church leaders from across the country for three days of spiritual renewal, leadership reflection, and national engagement.
The conference was held from the 3rd to 5th February 2026 at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), under the theme “Reflecting Christ” based on Matthew 5:16, which calls believers to let their light shine before others to the glory of God.
The event featured impactful presentations and teachings from seasoned Christian leaders, including Apostle Dr. Eric Nyamekye, President of GPCC; Apostle Aaron Ami-Narh, Second Vice President of GPCC; Rev. Stephen Wengam; and Apostle Dr. Nana Anyani Boadum. The speakers challenged participants to embrace Christlike character, holiness, integrity, and responsible leadership in ministry and public life.
In his address, Apostle Dr. Eric Nyamekye underscored the responsibility of church leaders to reflect Christ not only through preaching, but also through conduct, leadership, and service to society. He emphasised that the credibility of the Church depends largely on how leaders live out the values of the gospel.
Speakers
Apostle Aaron Ami-Narh called on Christians to go beyond profession of faith to practical obedience, stressing that reflecting Christ must be evident in actions, good works, and commitment to God’s will. Rev. Stephen Wengam highlighted holiness as the foundation of spiritual authority and effective ministry, while Apostle Dr. Nana Anyani Boadum encouraged leaders to deepen their walk with God and strengthen the Church’s impact in communities.
The conference was also graced by the Deputy Minister of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, who attended on behalf of the Sector Minister. He reaffirmed government’s appreciation of the Church’s role in promoting peace, moral values, and national development, and encouraged continued collaboration between the Church and the Government for the good of the nation especially in promoting sanitation.
Transformative
Participants described the conference as timely and transformative, noting that the theme Reflecting Christ challenged leaders to re-examine their personal lives, ministries, and public witness. Many expressed renewed commitment to leading churches that visibly demonstrate Christ’s love, truth, and righteousness in society.
The GPCC leadership expressed gratitude to all speakers, delegates, and partners for contributing to the success of the conference, and reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to strengthening Christian leadership and promoting godly values for national transformation.
