GPCC Second Vice President Apostle Dr. Aaron Ami-Narh Calls for Integrity in Ministry Amidst Modern Challenges

The 2nd Vice President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Apostle Dr. Aaron Ami-Narh, has called on church leaders and members to uphold the true essence of Christianity amidst the shifting dynamics within the church.

Apostle Dr. Ami-Narh expressed concern over the growing trend of some individuals entering the ministry for personal gain, rather than to genuinely serve and uplift others.

Apostle Dr. Ami-Narh who is the President of The Apostolic Church -Ghana made this call on a side-line interview with GPCC NEWS at the all Minister and Wives Conference at Takoradi on August 25.

“It is true that a lot of changes have come upon the church of today. One of the reasons is that some people see Christianity in a different light. Some men of God see it just like any other job, seeking their daily bread and drawing attention to themselves. But the true church is not like that. The true church does not take advantage of people; the true church helps people,” Apostle Dr. Ami-Narh asserted.

Remain Steadfast

He emphasized the need for authentic churches and ministers to remain steadfast in the truth, resisting the temptation to follow in the footsteps of those who prioritize wealth and fame over the spiritual mission of the church. Apostle Dr. Ami-Narh pointed out that some genuine ministers have begun to imitate these practices, lured by the material success of those who have strayed from the path of integrity.

“Our call is that such temptations will never cease. In this ministry, there are a lot of temptations, but one should stand for the truth. That is what shows your real faith,” he urged. “Once you do the work of God well, God will take care of you. This does not mean there will not be difficulties—those difficulties are a test of your faith. If you stand firm, God will certainly glorify His name in your life.”

Apostle Dr. Ami-Nah also cautioned church members to be vigilant and discerning, warning against the deceit of false prophets who perform “lying wonders.” He referenced the teachings of Jesus, who foretold that in the last days, many false prophets would arise, claiming divine authority while misleading the faithful with deceptive miracles.

“The wonders they are performing are wonders, but they are lying wonders because they are saying it is from God when it is not from Him. And the way we can know them is by watching their fruits. If you watch their fruits, you will not be deceived because by their fruits we will know them,” Apostle Dr. Ami-Nah explained.

He concluded by urging true ministers to live exemplary lives, setting a standard for the rest of the church to follow. His message serves as a critical reminder for the Christian community to maintain their commitment to truth, integrity, and service, even in the face of modern challenges and temptations.
