A member of the National Executive Council of Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Most Reverend Charles Agyinasare has advised employees to be faithful to their employers if they want to succeed in life.
According to him, being a faithful employee would serve as a stepping stone to becoming a job owner someday.
“If the job that you are doing, you don’t make it personal, God will not give you your own,” he said.
In a sermon on Sunday, the man of God noted that when God blesses the work of one’s hands, he empowers the person to succeed. He cautioned employees to be faithful to their employers so that God Almighty would empower them to succeed by getting their own businesses.
“God will empower you to succeed when others are failing in their business,” he said.
Bishop Agyinasare who is the Founder and General Overseer of Perez Chapel International, pointed out that many businesses are collapsing in Ghana because workers are not only unfaithful but also embezzle company funds and property for their parochial interests.
Expressing worry, he said “ the sad part is that at times people think that when they sit in the shop and they see the money coming, they think it is the profit. They are forgetting that maybe before the person set up the shop, they took a loan, they have to pay rent for the shop, they have to pay light bills, and if there is an air-conditioner in the shop, they pay air conditioning bill, but once employees see the money coming they think it is profit and so many businesses are collapsing because of unfaithful people.”
He said even though Ghana prides itself as being 70 per cent Christians,e lot of employees who are Christians cannot be trusted ” Can your boss leave his job with you for 10 days and the business will not collapse?” he quizzed.
Pay your tithes and offering
Touching on tithes and offering, the man of God challenged Christians to be faithful in their tithe and offering so that God will also be faithful to them.
He said Christians must be faithful in their tithe and offering because “all that we possess he gave it to us,therefore it is very important to give God his own share.”
“We are managers and God is the owner so when you don’t honour God with His substance, you will honour the devil with it,” the Bishop said.
