The President of Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong-Manso has urged Ghanaians to seek Christ and His righteousness so they could address the corruption in the country.
Prof Frimpong-Manso noted that it breaks his heart when he hears 70 per cent of the Ghanaian population is Christian yet the pace of the social canker called corruption is high.
“We must stop this kind of corrupt tendencies and be faithful because it breaks my heart if I hear people saying Christians are 70 per cent of the population yet many bad practices exist in the country,” he said.
In an interview, Rev. Frimpong-Manso called on Ghanaians to unite as one people and bury their political backgrounds so they could fight against the corruption in the country.
Rev. Frimpong-Manso who is also the General Superintend of the Assemblies of God, Ghana noted that some Ghanaians are lazy and would always want to use smart ways of getting money and urged Ghanaians to work hard to increase productivity in the country.
“We must be hard working. There are so many lazy people around, not that they do not have jobs but while others are struggling to get the jobs others have the jobs yet they lazy around and are not contributing to productivity,” he expressed.
He urged Churches and the ecumenical bodies in the country not to compete with one another but work together to better the nation.
“The various ecumenical bodies including Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Christian Council of Ghana (CCG), National Association of Christian Churches (NACC) among other bodies should work together to build a better nation than competing each other,” he stated.
Live Exemplary Lives
Advising Christians, the man of God noted that Christians should live exemplary lives to allow their light shine to win more souls for Christ Jesus and eventually reduce immoral behaviour in the country drastically.
He urged Pastors to preach the right message at their various churches to impact members positively.
According to him, preachers are making the gospel very complicated even though the message is very simple in order to take advantage of those who are ignorant of the word of God.
