A member of Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC), Bishop Dr. Emmanuel Victor Adjei-Wiredu has urged the Youth to be law abiding and love the Country so they could contribute to its growth.
According to Bishop Adjei-Wiredu, the youth as the future leaders must adapt to new ways of doing things, but not to follow blindly to end up in destructive lifestyles.
Success of the Country
The youth he said must not copy politicians but must live for the country and pray for the success of the country because it is relational to their success or failure just as God spoke to the people of Israel to pray for Israel.
Speaking to GPCC NEWS in an interview during his 70th birthday, he said, “As youth, you must endeavour to be respectful, hardworking, God-fearing and law-abiding so that you will grow up to become very responsible adults in future.”
Bishop Adjei-Wiredu further advised that they should make sure they pay their taxes while they also seek the peace of this country because the future of this country depends on them with their contribution as the key.
The man of God urged the youth to fear God and be more prayerful, “the youth should fear God, depend on him and trust him because there is no lack in the Lord since he has everything. With the Lord, the sky is not your limit but heaven,” Bishop Adjei –Wiredu said it.
Contribute to the Growth of the Country
Bishop Adjei-Wiredu called on Christians to exhibit a high sense of responsibility, be law abiding and avoid acts that go against Christian teachings.
“As Christians, we are accountable to God and should as such avoid acts that are immoral and abide by teachings of the Bible and laws of the country for growth in the body of Christ and sustainable national development,” he said.
The man of God added that, the youth should be happy to contribute to the growth of the prosperity of the country and advised parents to be watchdogs over their children so that they would not be used as tools for destruction to violate the current peace the country is enjoying.
He called on Christians to eschew all forms of practices that do not conform to the Bible and be good servants of God.
