The Founder of Jewels of God Church, Bishop Dr. Emmanuel Victor Adjei-Wiredu has urged Ghanaians to be selfless towards attaining the prosperity and blessing of this country.
According to him, “it is our individual contribution that will make this country great therefore when we are doing anything for the nation we should not think about what we will get in return.”
In an interview with GPCC NEWS, Bishop Adjei-Wiredu noted that the little contribution of individuals would better the lot of many Ghanaians.
Enjoying the blessings of individual contribution, the man of God pointed out that, “even if we do not live to enjoy the blessings or benefits now, our unborn generation will enjoy the blessings or the benefits some years to come.”
Touching on how individuals could contribute to the development of the country, Bishop Adjei -Wiredu said religious leaders should teach their members to be law abiding and obey the government of the day irrespective of their political affiliation because every government or authority is appointed by God according to the Book of Romans chapter 13.
He added that Ghanaians should not look at governments as institutions of man but of God to direct the nation as they see to the welfare of the people, and the people obey the laws of the country for a better Ghana.
The man of God advised Ghanaians to pray for the nation, work hard and love the nation because the future of this nation is bright and ‘it is getting brighter by the day’.
“Let us seek the welfare of the nation and advise our members to obey the laws of this country since the laws are made to be obeyed,” he said.
Confidence in God
Advising Christians, Bishop Adjei – Wiredu who is also a member of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) urged Christians in times of need to call upon God while not trying to solve the problem alone but put their confidence in God for he would answer them.
Quoting from Hebrews 13:5-6 “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. So we say with confidence, The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” he urged Christians to depend on God in every situation.
He however cautioned that the Christian’s prosperity depended on their relationship with God.
