The General Secretary of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Alexander Nana Yaw Kumi-Larbi has cautioned Christians especially women not allow their dressing to disconnect other Christians from God.
According to him, the dressing some women bring to church exposes certain private parts of their bodies which could lead some men into temptation because it makes them lose concentration in church.
Fashion at the Church
“The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, Christians following fashion, materialism and unnecessary competition is ruining the church. When we do this as a church, the glory of God will depart from us,” he said.
Giving a sermon last Sunday, he mentioned that, women of today would go and buy a piece of material for a dress, cut half of the material away and use small material to sew tight dress which exposes some private parts of their bodies.
“Why will you buy all these materials if you do not need them, why would you want to show your private parts?” he quizzed.
According to him, when things of such nature happen, it puts males who would sit behind them at church in a position where they would not enjoy the service and could get disconnect with God looking at the situation.
Apostle Kumi-Larbi urged Christians especially women to re-dedicate their lives to God where the bodies could be habitable by God.
The Man of God noted that, “sometimes as Christians we could realise that, we are doing something that is not good because, you want fame, you will overlook the bad side of things but God is a jealous God.”
He prayed Christians to remember the Lord’s Prayer “Lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil,” Apostle Kumi-Larbi added.
Urging Christians to live a righteous life, the Man of God stated that Christians should make sure they would not do anything that would compete with God.
Power of God
Touching on idol worshipping, Apostle Kumi-Larbi stated that, some elders of God are worshipping idols which are a wicked abomination in the eyes of God.
Instead of elders to mediate to receive from God, they rather to worship idol, worshipping different images for power.
“My dear elders of the church, what spirit are you using to lead the church? For what I receive from the Lord, the same I give unto you. God saw something good in you and has impacted you with grace but because you have not worked on it, you want to bring in mechanical anointing,” the Apostle cautioned.
The General Secretary decried the situation where “some elders or leaders of the church would touch the untouchable because, they want to force what is not there to be there”.
Apostle Kumi-Larbi stressed that, not all miracles are from God hence Christians should be watchful of the churches they attend for deliverance and miracles.
He urged Ministers of God to live according to the word God so they could continue to enjoy the grace of God.
