The National Pastors’ Wives Association of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, has marked its 10th Anniversary celebration with a call on members to appreciate their basic roles not only as spouses, but also as ministers in spiritual partnership with their husbands.
Climaxing the celebration, the President of the Church, Apostle Peter Okoe Mankralo, emphasized on reasons that necessitated the celebration of God’s faithfulness in the lives of the Pastors’ wives and said, “God is great and a powerful king whose scope of authority is infinite and He is concerned with the affairs of His people.”
The anniversary which was celebrated on the theme ‘Celebrating the faithfulness of God’ brought together pastors wives of the church across the country among other great personalities of the Church, such as Apostle Christian Kwesi Nartey, the Vice President; Apostle Alex Ofosu, the General Secretary; Apostle John Annan Adotey, former President and Apostle Kwadwo Baiden Denson, former General Secretary, in attendance.
Speaking on the theme from Psalm 92:1- 2, Apostle Mankralo noted that, many people all over the world see God as trustworthy in whom their hope is placed in the challenging times no matter the circumstances.
The Man of God indicated that, God’s unflinching love for His people, His supernatural ability to create and His providential care for His followers, all add up to the reasons why the spouses of the pastors would have to celebrate God.
“If you know who God is and what He has done and what He can do, you would not hesitate to lift up your hands in praise of His wonderful name at any opportunity,” he said.
Therefore, he said, the selected theme of the 10th Anniversary is very appropriate which should remind Christians about their primary duty to give thanks unto the Lord and to sing praises unto His holy name all the days of their lives.
Making reference to the bible, Apostle Mankralo mentioned that, God in His mercy delivered the Israelites from slavery in Egypt and cared for them through their journey in the wilderness to the Promised Land, and that, the same God will continue to deliver Ghanaians from all manner of adversaries.
As part of the activities marking the Anniversary, the women expressed their motherly love to several orphanages in Accra, had blood donation for the blood bank at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, donated toiletries, bed-sheets and pillows to the Princess Marie Children’s Hospital in Accra, as well as launched an orphanage at Kasoa to cater for homeless children in fulfilment of the word of God.
The year-long anniversary was climaxed with a thanksgiving service held at the Apostolic Resource, Conference and Retreat Centre at Fafraha near Accra.
