The Head Pastor of Lifeline Assemblies of God, Rev. Jacob K. Botchway has stated that the faithlessness of mankind cannot nullify the faithfulness of God.
He has, therefore, challenged Ghanaians, especially Christians, to rejoice in the face of trials, as they would surely overcome their problems with God granting their hearts’ desire at His own divine time.
In a Sunday sermon, Rev. Botchway noted that, “no matter how big our problems are, we should not be thinking too much because, God can be trusted.”
Encouraging the congregation, he said as God’s children, God would surely lead us to glory if we insist and persist in getting the impossible from Him.
“God can be trusted with the details of your life, therefore we should stop thinking too much about tomorrow because worry is more harmful than helpful,” he said.
According to him, when Christians think too much about personal issues, it affects their health negatively, therefore, Christians should do their best no matter the condition they find themselves and leave the rest to God.
“We should not allow the circumstances of life to overcome us because, we always have God and must trust in Him”, he said, stressing the need for Christians to endeavour to overcome fear and anxiety.
Referring from Mathew 6: 25-34, Rev. Botchway quoted “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?” he quizzed.
God Will Provide
The Reverend Minister pointed out that, Christians worry too much about material things, rather than first seeking the kingdom of God and His righteous so that, the material things would follow.
Rev Botchway admonished that, the most important thing is to have stronger relationship God and He would supply the needs of Christians, because birds do not work but God supplies their needs, how much more human beings that He created in His own image.
“We must put our faith on display through persistence and perseverance, we should uphold great and not little faith” he said.
“As Christians, we need to have strong faith, believe it, live it and apply it in our everyday lives,” he noted.
