Vision and Hard Work
The General Secretary acknowledged their commitment and immense contribution towards the Council for the past 10 years as well as their achievements in the past 25 years in contributing to the development of God’s kingdom.
Touching on the theme, “Vision and Hard work”, the Founder of Mount Horeb Prayer Centre, Prophet Paul Kweku Nii Okai stressed that, to serve God’s purpose in the lives of Christians, there is a need for one to work hard in order to achieve the vision.
He said, as individuals it is very important to have vision and to work hard towards it because “God has given us strength to achieve our vision on this earth.”
Prophet Okai who is also the General Overseer of the Centre noted that, without vision in life, anybody could walk into one’s life to dictate to him or her, but when someone has vision, it makes the person focused and not distracted by anything.
Giving a brief history about how the ministry started, Prophet Okai said, “The Horebian journey started twenty five years ago. I came unto this land with my things in a nylon bag. The land was an evil forest that was infested with demons and wild beasts. In the first few days, I lived in the open and slept in thick darkness. The heat of the sun scorched me in the day and the dew from heaven drenched me at dawn, while I had no food to eat. I have fought many battles on this land, but God has given me victory in them all.”
The journey, Prophet Okai indicated, has been rough and rugged, but Jehovah has been very faithful to him and the vision.
“To the glory of the Lord, the evil forest has now become a land of miracles, signs and wonders,” he said.
According to him, it is diligent pursuit, unyielding spirit of a warrior, fervent prayer, fasting, application of strong faith, constant study of God’s word, focus and the corporate support of Horebian pastors that have enable him to work out the vision and make it as vibrant as they witnessed during the celebration.
He said the hard work made him achieve his vision and encouraged everyone to have a vision so they could work towards it.
Other officials and departmental heads gave their solidarity messages while others expressed joy for how far God has brought the Ministry.
