The General Overseer of Calvary Crusaders Ministry, Bishop Prince Baah has called on the Church to wake up to redeem the sinking moral standard of the country because the perpetrators of immoral activities could be found in the church.
“The bible says, it is righteousness that exalts any nation, but sin a reproach to every people, hence the churches should use the pulpit to preach holiness to its members in order to raise the moral standards of the country,” Bishop Baah indicated.
Bishop Baah who is a Member of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) made this call in a sideline interview at the Pentecostal Convention Centre, Gomoa Fetteh.
The Man of God pointed out that, Christians and religious leaders should portray what they hear and preach in church to strengthen moral values because righteous is not just going to church but also demonstrating a practical holy life.
“The word of God should not end when we come to church, but we should make sure every moment of our life spent would reflect on the word of God,” he expressed.
Touching on a scripture in the bible where Prophet Isaiah prophesied a time where seven women will take hold of a man pledging to care for themselves only for him to put his name on them, Bishop Baah explained that the women symbolized the church, and the man Jesus Christ.
He further explained that the church is full of people who have come saying ‘’they would eat their own food where food represents doctrine’’.
What this means, the Man of God emphasised is that the church is full of those who do not adhere to sound doctrine from the bible because they have come with their own food, meaning their own doctrines. Such people Bishop Baah said will not wear the righteousness of God; they will wear their own garments.
Contemporarily, he said, there are a lot of people in the church who call themselves Christians just by name and are not walking in the righteousness of God.
Therefore, Bishop Baah advised Christians not to just be in the church to take the name of God by themselves and should not eat their own food but the food served at the church which is the word of God.
Pastors must serve the food of God which is holiness and righteousness should be preached in the church, the Man of God advised.
“We the pastors should serve a good food to our members so that the people of the church will eat the good food of righteousness to create a better society,” he said.
