“Let’s Love Ghana in Action, Not Just Words” – Apostle Samuel Obuobi Urges Leaders

The General Secretary of The Church of Pentecost, Apostle Samuel Obuobi, has called on Ghana’s leadership to prioritize the nation’s welfare above personal ambition, emphasizing that true love for Ghana must be demonstrated through actions, not just words.

Speaking in an interview with GPCC News on governance, Apostle Obuobi urged national leaders to make decisions that genuinely benefit the country rather than focusing on personal gains.

“My advice to the leadership of the nation is for them to have Ghana at heart. If they truly love Ghana, they will make decisions in the interest of the nation, not for selfish ambition,” he stated. He expressed concern that while many leaders profess to love the country, their actions often suggest otherwise.

On the issue of corruption, Apostle Obuobi reaffirmed the church’s commitment to confronting the menace, stressing that Christian leaders should not remain silent.

“The church has been speaking out against corruption. We may not always make public statements, but we engage leaders directly, advising them one-on-one. However, I encourage Christian leaders to keep speaking up until we see real change,” he urged.

Apostle Obuobi concluded with a call for accountability, urging both political and religious leaders to act with integrity in service to Ghana. He emphasized that true leadership must reflect a genuine commitment to national progress.
